It is important for me that our whole family takes vitamins. As much as we try to eat a healthy, well-balanced diet, I want my kids especially to have the nutrients they need.

The Alternavites we tried comes as a box of 30 individually wrapped packets. We tried the “Strawberry Bubble Gum” flavor, but there is also “Raspberry Cotton Candy”, and I will tell you the kids absolutely love the flavor!
The first time we tried Alternatives was about a year ago. My 5 year old daughter had gotten very sick with bacterial meningitis, and she was recovering at home. She had spent many weeks sick at home and another week being treated in the hospital, and was trying to gain her strength and energy back. I was worried about replenishing her nutrition, since she had lost a lot of weight and was also having digestive issues, and I wanted to maximize absorption of nutrients. We decided that Alternatives would be a good vitamin for her to try. She had no issues with taking these vitamins, because they taste great and they don’t bother her stomach.
Her younger sister (age 4.5) also loves these vitamins. She is a picky eater, and has a nut allergy, so it’s great to hear her ask me to get out the Alternavites!
These vitamins are very easy to travel with as well. I simply tuck however many packets we need into our travel case, and we are set. No having to count out gummy vitamins and find a little container to put them in – the Alternavites are very portable.
There are several ways my kids like to take their Alternavites. They either sprinkle a little bit of powder out of the packets on their tongue, or they sprinkle a little bit at a time on a spoon, or I pour the whole packet in a pinch bowl and they eat it with a spoon. They are sure to lick up every last bit because the powder is so tasty. You can also sprinkle in food if your child prefers. This is a great alternative to gummy vitamins, which have to be chewed very thoroughly, and our dentist has advised against the kids eating any kind of gummies because they contribute to tooth decay and are bad for any dental work.
They have fun taking these vitamins, and I have never had them request multivitamins the way they do with Alternavites!
